a reconocernos e identificarnos. Las mujeres de Concha Ros son fuertes y sensibles, luchadoras, comparten los mismos problemas
de muchos y muchas, se encuentran en las mismas encrucijadas, sienten necesidades y carencias que nos son reconocibles porque nos hablan de una sociedad a la que nosotros también pertenecemos, con luces y sombras.

SELF MADE WOMAN
BACKGROUND
En este proyecto reflexiono sobre los roles de género y el crecimiento personal, lo cual me induce a trabajar con mi propio cuerpo. Un cuerpo de mujer que, en proceso de crecimiento/envejecimiento, se autodescubre y se autoconstruye… La idea de dibujarme a mí misma dibujándome a mí misma nace pues como metáfora al buscar un modo de expresar el concepto de crecer, de construirse.

In this project I reflect on gender roles and personal growth, which induces me to work with my own body. A woman's body that, in the process of growth / aging, self-discovers and self-constructs... The idea of drawing myself drawing myself is born as a metaphor when looking for a way to express the concept of growing, of being myself built as a woman.

OUTBREAKS
Empiezo dibujando y vuelvo a dibujar, con el mismo lápiz, mi lápiz, pero con el fondo de otro color. Vuelvo al pasado para mirar al futuro. Depuro sentimientos en blanco y negro,
y simplemente trazo líneas sobre el papel. Revisito actitudes que ya no necesito y las desnudo. Me veo desde fuera para meterme dentro. La dibujante es dibujada.

I start by drawing and go back to draw, with the same pencil, my pencil, but with another background color. I return to the past in order to look to the future. Purifying feelings in black and white, and simply tracing lines on the paper.
I look over attitudes that I no longer need and bare them. I look myself from outside to get inside me. The draftswoman is drawn.

La idea de dibujarme a mí misma nace como metáfora al buscar un medio para expresar el concepto de crecer, de autoconstruirme como mujer... En ese punto esta idea comienza a evolucionar al prestar atención a la posibilidad de distanciarme de este proceso e intentar observar desde fuera cómo me dibujo/construyo a mí misma, invitando al espectador/a a hacerlo también.

The idea of drawing myself was born as a metaphor when looking for a means to express the concept of growing, of self-constructing myself as a woman... At that point this idea begins to evolve by paying attention to the possibility of distancing myself from this process and trying to observe from outside how I draw/ build myself, inviting the viewer to do it too.
